1935 Jaguar SS1 Tourer 2.5 Litre
In the same family ownership for three generations this 1935 Jaguar SS1 Tourer was lovingly restored to virtually concours condition in the early 1980s. Little used in recent years, but carefully dry stored, this time warp car has been recently re-commissioned, and with the exception of a re-cored radiator, required very little work for its new MOT.
A matching numbers car, its original side valve car the engine was been converted to OHV, possibly in period, and mechanically it is as good as when it was first restored over 30 years ago. The tan leather interior is superb, and the car is complete with all its wet weather equipment, with hood, hood bag, full tonneau and side screens and is therefore ready to be enjoyed.
The brightwork is also in very good condition, and from a short distance the car looks every bit as good as it appears in these photographs. However there is significant micro-blistering in the paintwork and the new owner would almost certainly want to repaint the car to bring the coachwork up to the same standard as the rest of the car. We anticipate a budget for this of £10,000 and this has been allowed for in the asking price.
This is a rare opportunity to return this car to its former glory and provides the opportunity to chance the colour if desired.
It is also competitively priced at
